Woodpeckers are cute, but not when they decide to destroy your house like a little monster. To prove that homeowners can create a beautiful home that's also resilient. James Hardie, the #1 siding brand in America, built The Impeckable™ House – a human-sized birdhouse placed in a dense, woodpecker-rich forest in Wisconsin to test its durability.

After several months, it remains impeckable.

This house doesn’t belong to woodpeckers, it belongs to The Nature Conservancy in Illinois, donated as a haven for those who study woodpeckers and preserve these pesky birds’ crucial role in keeping local forests beautiful and healthy.
